Moon Bay Guest House is located in the Beach Village ofFish Hoek which enjoys a convenient and safe beach in the heart of the Cape Peninsula. Fish Hoek in on the False Bay coast where the warm waters of the Indian Ocean contrast to the icy cold waters of the Atlantic on most other Cape Town Beaches. Moon Bay Guest House is over looking Clovelly golf course which is on the opposite side of the valley and there are many other famous Golf courses like, Steenberg, Westlake and SimonsTown just a short 15 min drive away. (Fish Hoek Beach above) Fish Hoek is settled next to the delightful and unique Cape fishing village of Kalk Bay which has considerable history, charm and character with many restaurants and places to just relax. There is whale watching in season (end of July to end of October) from the balconies of Moon Bay Guest House and on the surrounding beaches. There is hill walking from the front door and other world famous hikes around the peninsula
From Moon Bay there are also 4 very pleasant 30 minute scenic drives to the City centre, including Chapman’s Peak drive via Hout Bay. All these drives have excellent views of the Table Mountain National Park.

It is easy to have excursions to the oldest and many other famous vineyards from our location. For those who enjoy the night sky there is a special treat as Moon Bay has a unique uncontaminated sky where the Milky Way and great constellations can be observed.
